MANUFACTURING POSITIONS Vice President, Operations - Stamping & Fabrication; Provide leadership to department managers of Purchasing, Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering by giving direction on the procedures and systems to be used that will ensure the company is operating in the most cost effective manner possible. Responsibility for 10 direct reports and a total of 450 to 500 employees and two locations. This position is accountable for the operating results of these departments with performance being measured against company and corporate goals and objectives. Requirements: BS in Engineering or Business. Knowledge of metalforming essential. Management experience in Manufacturing, Inventory Control and Materials related to stamping. Customer interface at management level. Demonstrated understanding of computerized production information system. Prior managerial experience. Location: Springfield, MO; Salary: $140000-$150000 + Bonus. Continuous Improvement Project Manager - High volume continuous process. This is a position that balances technical engineering knowledge and management responsibility. The focus of this position is Capital Projects - introducing new products into production as well as the continuous improvement of the existing manufacturing equipment. This manager is responsible for maximizing resources, planning, development, design, justification and implementation of manufacturing process and equipment improvements. Supports new manufacturing technology development, new product integrations, existing product enhancements, cost reduction, equipment safety, and product quality improvement programs at all domestic manufacturing facilities. BS Engineering and experience driving new products from R&D through manufacturing. Project Engineer - Product Development - Primary responsibility for managing projects from initial concept review through each stage of development, tool production and sampling, and production launch. Requirements: BSME or Plastic or similar engineering or technology degree; 3+ years of experience in injection molding; project management and reporting; CAD skills (Prefer Pro-E); automotive industry skills in PPAP, FMEA, DOE, DFM, etc. Location: Mid-Sized City in KS; Salary: $50000-$70000. Quality Engineer - Growing injection molder producing high quality products for applications in the medical device industry. Looking for an individual with skills in the application of modern statistics based Quality Assurance Systems. Will utilize statistical analysis tools including Six Sigma to evaluate processes, scrap rates, product and quality issues. Produces required documentation for ISO 9002 quality systems and FDA compliance requirements. Conducts audits as part of the internal audit team. Provides training to production and management personnel in modern quality assurance techniques including lean manufacturing, Poke-Yoke, 5S, Six Sigma, and DOE. Requirements: BS Engineering, Technology, Math or Science; 3+ years of experience with SPC based quality assurance systems applied to plastic injection molding. Experience in Medical Device Industry Molding Preferred; Must have CQE or CQM; Experience with Scientific Molding or Systematic Molding Techniques is preferred. Location: Northeast MO; Salary: $55000-$80000. Director of Quality - Aerospace. Must have aerospace experience. Composite experience preferred. Direct and establish a company quality assurance system and team that promotes customer satisfaction and that positively impacts the financial performance. Direct the planning and development of the total quality policies, programs, and initiatives. Direct the operations in the inspection and quality department to verify products manufactured meet the customer quality requirements. BS in Quality Science, Quality Management or related. 7-10 years of composite quality management, quality supervisor, quality engineer or lead inspector experience. Black Belt or Green Belt in Six Sigma is preferred. Experience and knowledge is needed in Six Sigma, Lean and Kaizen principles. Location: Wichita, KS; Salary: $80000-$105000. Sr. Process Engineer - Chemicals / Polymers. Responsible for hands-on plant support, troubleshooting production issues, defining scopes of capital projects, suggesting product and process improvements and working effectively with all levels of the organization from plant operations to maintenance, customers, suppliers, and other plant groups, and central engineering. groups. Must be capable of being the process responsible person for large capital projects - $30MM. Must be capable of training less experienced engineers. Must be willing to work on capital projects 2 out of 8 years at an engineering firm and/or at other locations (including international) outside of assigned plant. BS in Chemical Engineering, Masters preferred. 8 years minimum previous manufacturing experience is required. Experience in a plant setting is a must. Experience as lead process engineer on major expansion project is preferred. Related Polymer and Specialty Polymer manufacturing experience is preferred. Location: Marietta, OH; Salary: $85000-$100000. Plant Manager - Automotive Tier 1 & 2 parts manufacturer. Full accountability for the overall performance of 3 separate business units under one roof. Primary decision regarding: production requirement and plant productivity; customer service levels; quality and scrap measures; product cost control; plant safety; inventory control. Direct Reports: Engineering Manager, Mfg. Manager, Quality Manager, Materials Manager, HR Manager, Cost Accounting Manager. Creation of operating budgets ($22MM). Cost containment and performance against budget. Responsible for human resources issues (+250 fulltime employees). Responsible for capital projects. Requirements: BS Engineering; 10+ years in similar role in automotive Tier 1 and/or Tier 2. Location: Greenville, SC; Salary: $85000-$120000. Quality Manager - Fiberglass and composites manufacturer. This is a new facility in OH. Presently 60 employees but by 6/08 160 employees. This professional will establish the quality function in the plant. The plant has enough room to grow and support 300 employees. Will be responsible for implementing and managing quality control systems designed to ensure continuous production of advanced composite materials and applications regarding customer standards and requirements. Will supervise a team of QC inspectors. Must understand: develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability of finished products; coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers to maximize product reliability and minimize cost; create and direct environmental test functions and applications; maintain active role on internal continuous improvement teams. Requirements: BS in Mechanical / Industrial / Manufacturing Engineering. Kaizen and lean manufacturing techniques. Use quality engineering methods in inspection. Minimum of 7 years experience. Have good experience working with high performance teams. Location: Columbus, OH; Salary: $65000-$75000.
